The visitor list is at the heart of Lead Forensics, and allows you to understand and analyse the traffic to your website, and more importantly, take action on it.
On the left-hand side of the screen is the list of businesses that have been on your website, and shows high level details about them like their location, industry, and size, together with how you've classified their relationship with you; For example, whether they're a new lead or an existing customer.
Also shown is information about their activity on your website, like how long their last visit was and how many pages they viewed.
Clicking on a visit displays more details on the right hand pane, with further information about the business, the visit, and various ways to act on that information.
Note that a single page visit is shown with a duration of SP in the main list.
You can customize what's shown in the visitor list by clicking on the settings cog. From here, you can switch between the list view and the card view.
You can also change the information shown in the list by dragging and dropping items between these two columns.
The two toggles at the bottom of settings give you the ability to choose whether the list will automatically update to show the most recent visits, and to either show all visits, including repeated visits from the same business, or just have one entry in the list for each unique business which has visited.
To change the time frame of the list, click on the date range and either select a custom range by clicking on a start and end date from the calendar, or choose one of the standard options.
You can filter the list to see a subset of visitors which are important for a particular task.
Perhaps you want to see just visitors who meet your ideal customer profile, or those who have visited particular pages on your site, or even those who are at a specific stage in your sales cycle.
Clicking on the filter icon in the top left brings up the filter dialog, and from here you can quickly choose from previously saved filters or start from scratch to create a new one.
When a filter is applied, its name is shown at the top of the visitor list, and clicking on this is a shortcut to get back to the filter dialog.
The menu on the right-hand end of each visit allows you to take various actions including assigning a category, a user or a business status, creating a lead, emailing the visit details, or opening the visit details in a separate tab.
You can perform actions on multiple businesses at a time by selecting the ones you want to change with these check boxes on the left. If you want to alter all the businesses in the current view, up to a maximum of one hundred, then this checkbox allows you to select them all. Once selected, choose the appropriate action from the menu at the top.
Finally, you can export your data by clicking on the download icon on the left.
This will download the visit information into a CSV file, which can be uploaded into other systems or opened in a tool like Microsoft Excel for further analysis.
If you want to make the visitor list your default page, click on the link at the top of the screen, and every time you log in to Lead Forensics, you'll be taken straight there.
